Zheng apartment have a total area of 90 square meters and it’s located in the center of Taipei (Taiwan) on the 24th floor, windows offering spectacular views of the metropolis.
To enjoy the open space of the Zheng apartment without obstacles, designers from KC Design Studio, decided to remove the wall between the rooms but with the idea of dividing them with one cabinet (from the bedroom and living room). If you still want privacy, the entrance near the window overlaps the sliding door. Soft shapes glossy facades perfectly with the smooth matte finish. It is a quality example of combining different surfaces making Zheng Apartment unique. The starting point for designing the plan was the window magnificent view. Designers from KC Design Studio kept the whole length of the window which goes from the kitchen until the bedroom of the Zheng Apartment.. The flat it is about 90 m², but the height of the ceiling is not very big, so the top-till-bottom furniture will increase an illusion of more space. The partition furniture is multi functional: on one hand it holds storage compartments, on the other – a niche for TV and goes smoothly into the kitchen section. This smoothness is achieved due to the curved outline of the module binder living room and kitchen. In the middle of the kitchen is set an “island” unit. Lack of support not only creates an interesting visual effect of soaring, but also comfort for those who are sitting at the table. Zheng Apartment by KC Design Studio. Photos: Sam Siew Shien
