Casa Celeiro, Portugal
Inês Brandão Architecture completed design Casa Celeiro, a stylish home renovation in Monte Real, Portugal.
A young family that lives in Portugal, wanted to upgrade the 50-year-old building that was once a half barn, half residential house. The original materials have been retained, while adding new, more modern ones. Minimalist black and white color palette makes the place more spacious and elegant. Undoubtedly the highlight of this project is a “black box” in the middle. It serves a multi-functional and aesthetic element. Well, what does it contain? This is a place for a hidden kitchen, toilet, storage room and staircase. “The upper floor, which in the past was used for drying grain is now the domain of communication and work area.” Casa Celeiro is a nice project with a nice “surprise” in the middle 🙂
